What is your daily beauty routine?
I always start my day by washing my face with a mild cleanser, like CeraVe. Next I use Thayer’s alcohol-free toner, followed by moisturizer. Clinique has a great line of moisturizers, as well as Kiehl’s. I have recently added a facial sunscreen to my routine and have been using Bioré Aqua Rich SPF 50. Once my skin is taken care of, I can focus on my makeup.
Is there one product you can’t live without?
I can not live without an eyebrow pencil! My eyebrows are uneven, sparse and have no real shape to them. When I fill in my brows, I look more put together.
Do you have any favorite drug store products?
I think drug store products are underrated. You can definitely get everything you need to do a full face of makeup at the drugstore. I have so many favorites, but here are a few of my go-to products!
Blush: Milani Baked Blush
Mascara: Cover Girl Clump Crusher
Splurge vs. save – What is worth the extra money?
There are a few products that are worth splurging on and one of them is eye shadow. I find that the color pay-off is just not the same in drugstore products. Moisturizer is another product I don’t mind paying extra for because it is such an important part of keeping your skin healthy. Lastly, highlighter is a product I like to splurge on. I like a shimmer, rather than a glittery look. The drugstore highlighters that I have tried tend to have chunky glitter rather than shimmer. If you are looking to get a drugstore highlighter, I would suggest a cream or liquid.
Having just gotten married recently I was on the lookout for a stay-put lip color and feel like I tested a gazillion of them. What is your favorite kiss proof lip product?
I find that matte liquid lipsticks are the best way to go. They dry relatively fast, and won’t rub off or transfer during the big kiss!
Any personal beauty fails?
Before I learned how to properly apply eyeliner, I was wearing it only in my waterline. No mascara, no eye shadow. Yikes!
You only have 10 minutes to get out the door. What products do you use and why?
Definitely mascara to open my eyes and make my face brighter. Blush to give me rosy cheeks, a brow pencil to tame them and a neutral lipstick to complete the look!
